Physics, Ohio State University Was wait-listed March. I personally knew of someone who had applied to the same research field and group as me and rejected the offer. I was really hoping for this, I work with a young Prof who joined the department last fall. The email said there's no funding or advising capacity in the department. None of this makes sense. It was my second cycle and I've genuinely no where to go now.

Physics And Astronomy, Washington University In St. Louis (WashU) Waitlisted but told I will not be admitted off the waitlist as the first round of acceptances mostly accepted their offers. Have accepted a different offer of admission at this point.

Physics, Northwestern University Generic rejection email. Northwestern was one of my last hopes for getting into grad school. My dreams are shattered and I'm crushed. Two high impact LORs, one publication, 2 years of research (theory and computation). Took grad classes in GR and particle, double majored in stats. What did I do wrong?

Physics PhD, Purdue University - West Lafayette Out of all my applications, I, personally, felt I was best suited for Purdue WL. I would have thrived there bro. It was my reach college and I really wanted to be there. But now, I am getting this overwhelming sadness. The last couple of months have been some of the hardest months in my life. I feel so so sad. I want to cry so hard but at the same time I'm feeling numb. So tears can't roll down my f******* eyes. Dreams got shattered to 1000 pieces BRUH. This is it guys. It's over for me.

Applied Physics, Northwestern University Ignore status. A student inside NU told me that no offer for AP would be made anymore. So if you are actually on the waitlist(if you still have no rejection or admission by now), you should stop waiting and find other options. This is a tough year with much fewer offers than before, due to the increasing stipend.
