Sociology, Columbia University I emailed this morning because I hadn't received anything and there was no update in the portal. Graduate admissions then responded that my application was still under review. An hour later I got an email that the portal was updated with a rejection lol so they might have just forgotten to update it?

Sociology, University Of California, Davis I had to reach out to them about the status of my application. They stated that I did not send in my transcripts (which I did! I have proof they received it). For that reason, I was rejected. I am a little upset because I wanted to go here. 3a/9r/2p

MAPSS Sociology, University Of Chicago thank god. all phd apps have been rejections so far, so this is a backup in case i dont get into any. rejected from chicago's sociology phd and application was put through to the masters pool

Asian Studies, Georgetown University GPA just an inch above 3.5, no GRE, and no capital hill/think tank/strong internships in or out of undergrad. However, I spent considerable amount of time (6+ years) in China doing multiple projects, and had a couple solid recommenders for the program. If you're hesitating about your own merits, craft your narrative around where you're strong and try your best. I graduated undergrad in 2015 in English and Sociology! Additionally, anyone know when we have any decisions on merit scholarships?

Sociology, University Of Massachusetts (Boston) Waitlist notification via email, kind of strange: You are on the waitlist for the PhD Program in Sociology. You should receive a formal email from the admission portal if you have not already. We were impressed with your application! Our practice is to make a funding offer to all students we accept. Thus, we must secure funding lines before we make acceptance offers to all our qualified candidates.

Sociology, Utah State University GPA is grad. Applied 10 months ago at the urging of a professor I had been in contact with, so I am really disappointed. This is the only school I applied to so I guess that's it for me. Just got this email: I am sorry to inform you that you were not selected for admission to the graduate program for the 2024-2025 cycle. We wish you luck in your future endeavors. Really bummed.

Sociology, Washington State University I got an email stating that I’m on the waitlist for this school. If you guys are rejecting the schools or planning on going elsewhere please let the school know ASAP. I REALLLYYYYYYY need this school guys PLEASE. Thank you sososo much!
