Standard rejection letter (though they are sure that I'll be admitted somewhere and want to congratulate me on that). Sort of saw this coming, what with not being invited to interview and all. Sociology, University Of Chicago Placed on a short wait-list. A POI at Chicago told me (off the record) that he thinks I'm at the top. If you've been accepted and you are not going, please let them know soon! I'm wait-listed at Princeton too and these freaking wait-lists are killing me!

CCC Sociology, McGill University I contacted the Department of Sociology to ask them about the waiting list. How many of us are on it? what's my rank? when will I know if I am accepted or not... But I've been told they couldn't tell me more (more than nothing, basically), that I would be notified if a spot opened for me. Wish i knew more... :(

Sociology, Carleton Received email asking me to send a signed copy of my application form (which I had previously neglected to send, and they had said they wouldn't need unless an offer was made). Email said I was in "Category A", "wasn't at liberty" to confirm whether I was getting an offer, but they were "seriously considering it". Seems like good news!
