If you look at previous year post warning that qualification does not matter any more it is true. Getting more journals at top venue will not help you. I have plenty of papers and feel like I am applying for postdoc but those papers are not what they are looking for. Focus on getting connections and matching to MIT prof research (not advisable) if you really want to get into MIT. Or better still, focus on doing good work and let your papers speak for yourself.
