Graduate School Admission Results

What is this racism? No school wants a student with a sh*t, racist personality attending their program. GPA isn't everything. People who are obsessed with GPA just want to justify their misery with this self-fabricated inflated importance. Good for you "latino male accept" you have great GRE scores and diverse experience. U of Illinois is lucky to have you :)

Has anyone heard from the Princeton NLP group?

Area: NLP

Had one interview about one month ago, and another a week ago. 1 first author paper + 1 second author paper, both top conferences. (Area: PL)

2 international papers. Mix of academic and professional backgrounds. GPA - 9.13/10. Good LORs.

Had an interview.

Decent GPA, 2 years of professional background in CS, one IEEE paper, several projects as well. I believe SOPs and LORs were good too. All the best, folks.

Email from the department, no interview. Theory.

Admitted to the HCII department. Not my first choice as I was rejected from MLD but still super stoked.

Field - Robotics/AI. Interviewed w/ POI in Jan. Applied for MSc. but ended up requesting POI to offer a direct Ph.D. (which he did).

Contacted by a professor not mentioned in my SOP. Received an offer letter after 5 days from the interview. 2 years relevant work experience in the industry, 3 conference publications.

I receive two emails. One mentioned the admission decision, and the other showed information about the open house meeting next week.

Email to check portal. Interviewed about a month ago.

No interview. Theory.

Low TOEFL and GRE

TTPB: For CS Ph.D. offers, may I know when you completed your CS Ph.D. application? Any interviews before the formal admission? Any info for the CV/ML track?

ML theory, 3.7 GPA, 2 publications under review

TTPB: I submitted my app on Jan. 13th and was admitted on Feb. 12th without an interview. My area is CV/ML. Visit day isn't until the end of March, so I am assuming this is the first batch of acceptances, specifically for admits who received a fellowship and summer RAship.
