Data Science, The University of British Columbia Got a mail from UBC Vancouver mentioning that I am in the top 1% of the waitlist and if anyone rejects or withdraws, I will be the first to be contacted. Anyone else got a similar mail ? What can i infer from this.

Computer Science, University Of British Columbia (UBC) - Okanagan Campus Accepted to the Optimization group with a funding offer of 18K CAD per year. Was interviewed mid February. So relieved.

Data Science, Columbia University (Fu Foundation) To all the stressed out people freaking out about not hearing back from Columbia and trying to game out what this means: I emailed them and was informed that I'm on their wait list, but did not get any official form email or have my status updated on the application website. That is what I know for sure. My GUESS is that anybody else who has not been accepted or rejected is also on the wait list, and I suspect that we may not hear anything until after April 15, by which time the most recent batch of admits is supposed to give Columbia their answers (according to someone who posted on this site).
