MS In Economics, Georgetown University I wouldn't have been a good fit, I want to specialize in development economics and I don't have an econ undergrad, although I minored in mathematics. Generic but respectful rejection detailing the many qualified applicants versus the few available spots. Already accepted to Johns Hopkins and Vanderbilt which I preferred regardless of this outcome.

American Foreign Policy, Johns Hopkins (SAIS) Deferred from early notification deadline. 3.91 gpa from meh liberal arts school in MO. IR/French double major, Spanish/econ double minor. Strong recs. 165 verbal, 154 quant, 4.5 written. No internship or applicable job experience. Employed full-time 1.5 years (since graduation), consistently employed while in undergrad as well. Also accepted at GWU, American, UCSD, Denver. Waitlisted at Georgetown.

Economics, Johns Hopkins University could you tell pls what is the interview all about? JHU invited me to interview and asked to attach the sheet with my grades on math&econ courses and GRE results. Does that mean I'll be tested for knowledge of math&econ??

International Development, Johns Hopkins SAIS (School Of Advanced International Studies) Average GRE/GPA - 5 years work experience including peace corps, domestic policy firm - Study abroad in 2 developing countries - limited econ, so I have to take two courses in the summer to enroll in the program and no financial aid, leaning towards turning down
