Graduate School Admission Results

MSc in Biology with Concentration in Bioinformatics (GPA: 3.56); 3 Research Acknowledgements; 2 Pre-Clinical Research Organization Internships; Non-traditional Applicant

Holding a Master's degree in computational biology with a 4.0 GPA from a top 10 university and having two years of undergraduate research plus 2.5 years in graduate school. I have four publications: two as co-first author and two as second author, all with impact factors greater than 10. Additionally, I have a first-author paper under review at Cell. As a permanent resident of the US, I also see a rejection faced by another applicant who had an NIH fellowship. This makes me question the criteria for interview selection for this program. It's ridiculous; who gets the interview? Only the in-state applicants?

2 years of full time master's research, 1 year of undergraduate research, and 1.5 years part time research at an unrelated field. 2 publications, 2 oral presentations at conferences and a poster presentation. NIH fellow, GRFP applicant. Seems like a very competitive program, good luck to everyone and congrats to those chosen!

Fall 2023* disappointed, this was my top choice

~4 years research, 3 pubs TTPB: which interview date did you attend? i thought interviews were 2/22 and 3/1
