Political Science, University Of Colorado - Boulder Colorado has notified everyone who was accepted. Terrible admission process. No communication at all. Mary Gregory - possibly the worst graduate secretary in the country - sent out an email with the following: "Dear Applicant, Our apologies for the delay in notifying you regarding your admission status. We have sent emails and letters to all applicants but apparently some of you have not received them. Again, our apologies. Mary Gregory" This email also included an attachment that listed almost twenty applicants' e-mail addresses!! No communication, no clarity, no privacy, no class.

Chemistry, Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Your application for admittance to the Johns Hopkins Chemistry Department as a graduate student has been wait listed. Our final decision will be forthcoming in early April. => I am still waiting!! Should I give up?

Education, Stanford University I was an alternate (on the wait list). Email states: "I am very sorry to let you know that our offers of admission have been accepted at a significantly higher rate than we expected, and we are thus unable to offer you admission. While your application is very strong, this year's admissions process was particularly competitive." It's OK--I'm going to UCLA, which is a better fit in many ways!

Applied Math, University Of California, Davis (UCD) was instructed via email to visit website. but i had already requested a status check more than a month ago and was given an informal rejection then. even though this isnt the result i was hoping for, i do think uc davis has a pretty good online system because it gives specific reasons for rejections. thats a lot more than most schools who simply say "sorry" or just imply their rejection via absolute silence. no biggie for me either. i've got a fully funded acceptance elsewhere.
