Bachelor's in mechanical engineering from a top NIT in India. 1 year of startup work-ex, 1 year of full time computer vision research experience, 3 month internship at UWaterloo during undergrad. 2 published papers( in image processing/computer vision ) and 1 paper under review ( in AI for manufacturing ). Admit converted from waitlist.

Not really an interview, but got an email asking what other schools I have been accepted to and if I was still interested in their program.

There are two waves of acceptances. One from CMU side which don't have interviews and one from Pitt which have interviews. I wasn't aware of this and was already questioning my life on 5th. My acceptance from Pitt came on 8th. Now I can denounce myself from this process.

Can't believe I got in... No funding for master's students so that's the biggest concern :(
