Sociology, Cornell University Waitlisted, I think? E-mail from grad director saying that I am on a "short list" of applications but that I couldn't be offered admission with financial support at this time; I was invited to contact the director to clarify.

Sociology, University Of California, San Francisco (UCSF) I interviewed over the phone yesterday and I just got an email of acceptance and have been nominated for two fellowships. Very Exciting! I am still waiting on 7 other programs, though....

Sociology, Columbia University Let me add that the committee had to pick 14 applicants out of a pool of 280, so you can see that it was extremely competitive. Unfortunately, this year because of the financial crisis we had less slots to offer (normally we accept 20). Damn it!
