domestic applicant. had a good relationship with my potential supervisor who said they were interested in my work and two great references + experience doing research in my field. not sure why i was rejected

It was a long shot. I was coming back after 17 years to apply for the MA Anthropology after my BSc Hons in Archaeological Science from U of T (2006). I hold a PGDip from the University of Edinburgh in another field (B+ GPA). Disappointed for sure. But I gave it my all. Now to decide whether to take some undergrad courses as a non-degree and try again...Or to move on...Sigh.

Ignore status!!! Why is UToronto not sending out rejections since there already seem to be offers and waitlists ??? Release meee

They said I'm the first on the waitlist. Dream school, top choice, if you're not going to UofT please please please let them know ASAP.

Got an interview on 1.20. I assume that I'm waitlisted cuz there's an offer posted below. I have secured a supervisor (and I think it's important) before submitting my application. The third round is still rough but hang in there.

This was my third round. I was too exhausted and felt discouraged as an international student trying to find money each year for another shot. we are fighting for one or two places offered to international students each year, especially for state schools. i am soooo happy and i cant even believe that i finally did! secure advisor(s) before applying. finding someone interested in your work is the most important thing i learned throughout the process
