I interviewed, and they really liked me, but state funding has run dry due to the LA fires, so they told me they couldn't afford to fund my PhD. I was interested in QIS.

Ignore waitlist. Does anyone know whether USC has sent out rejects/waitlists? Saw a couple of admits earlier

Just about 3 months later then everyone else lol. Not sure what happened.

Emailed by a professor. No interview. Submitted app on the 1st.

One publication at JCAP. Informal interview via Skype with potential adviser.

had to send an Email to Richard Thompson. I guess one related publication(quantum information) in PRA(Rapid Communications) was not enough. I thought I could easily get in, seems like I was wrong... rejection after rejection!

Very friendly interview through Skype (mostly informative); they said they are considering to candidate me for a Graduate School Fellowship. Nothing official yet, though.

"Thanks for your inquiry regarding the status of your application, we do not anticipate making any further offers before the April 15th deadline, you should consider other offers." after an inquiry.

I just received an email telling me that May 3rd is the financial aid deadline, but I've not received any acceptance email or letter yet...that I know of. Anyone else have this happen?

TA, tuition waive,official letter posted, but yet to arrive.

My first offer. Still waiting for a better one. Love CQIST but USC is really a dangerous place for Chinese students...
