Unexpected. I had believed I was a strong fit for this program.

Checked portal. Expected.

Domestic student. No GRE. Nominated for fellowship. Stipend $23k for TAship. Was also accepted to NC State for stats.

Email from them to see if I am still interested, said yes. Offer came a couple days later. Top of my list

Emailed to check website. Expected rejection and decided to go to another school anyways. I think this is probably final, probably no more rounds of admission.

Any information regarding the program? This program is my last chance. I emailed both department and the professor in charge of Ph.D. admission, and received only the generic answer (your application is still under review) from the department and no answer from the professor.

TTPB: I think they did not send any rejections since my friends and I also do not receive any updates. And typically, they will not reject you by email or they will reject you in July.

Emailed coordinator, told me if I didn't get a rejection then I still have hope. I guess that means a waitlist? Not sure how high I am on the waitlist. I may just wait for a week or so, if still no words, I might just withdraw.

Got an individual email from the department with an acceptance letter attached. 18k (+$3000 for first year) assistantship offer (with a nomination for a potentially better assistantship from the university).

I am wondering if anyone has got off the waitlist of UNC.

I got an email on the 9th saying that a lot of people offered a spot hadn't replied but that they're working on it so that they could offer me a spot. But, I decided to give up my spot so good luck to anyone on the waitlist!
