Early admissions decision from director!

Interview request on Feb 2. Interview with committee on Feb 8. Sent an email to confirm that I was rejected as others got acceptance emails. They sent back a PDF dated Feb 14.

Two acceptances in one day! I am posting my GRE score so everyone knows GRE does not matter so much if you are a strong applicant. I had the worst covid right before the exam and had to take the rescheduled one only a week later. GRE was my only insecurity and I've still got the admission. I hope people don't feel pressured to get a good score especially for linguistics program. I do have TOEFL 111, a strong CV, and good rec letters, so GRE probably is the last thing they care

I had an informal talk with the POI but got rejected!

Official interview invite. I was bcc'ed, so I assume anyone who's being invited would have received the same email.

Waitlisted with no other offers yet : (. POI is my best fit & ideal mentor. Please let them know if UHM is not your top choice so that we can have a chance at our dream school.

Got the official interview offer on Jan. 28 via email, and had the interview on Jan. 30 with 4 professors.

Not even a word from the committee after I had an interview. Just received the rejection from the graduate school via postal. Very cold...

I emailed the program and was told that I am on the waiting list. If anyone got the offer but plan to go for another college, I would like to ask you to reject the offer from UHM asap. Thank you so much.
