No email, just happened to check portal since it still said submitted/under review. However, generic letter of rejection.

Sent email to follow up about status of application, response was that they had sent out their first round of acceptances and were waiting for final commitments. 0a/3r/1p

IGNORE STATUS. Has anyone heard back from Merced? I keep checking my portal and my emails but I haven't heard anything back yet. It probably is a rejection at this point obviously but... still holding onto hope maybe?? I've tried emailing them as well and haven't heard anything back. Please let me know if anyone else is in the same boat?

GPA is master's 2a/2p acceptance came in through email initially and I got an update on my portal with a funding offer last week

Wait listed but with offer to fly out for visitation day with expenses paid. Hoping this will work out because of strong research fit. If anyone was accepted to UC Merced Sociology PhD but not seriously interested, I hope you will let Merced know soon. Thank you so much and good luck to everyone!
