2 professor development happened last week of May, one said he has no funding, so discussed thesis-based master's option, the other took his sweet time to schedule a call and finally got on a call on June 10th, stating his interest to hire me as a PhD student in his lab and offering TA. He gave me a task to write a summary on one of his projects, while working on it, on the same day, i received a reject. I have filed for appeal. Please suggest what more I can do.

Emailed and called. No response at all. I am taking it as a rejection without notification...

UG in CSE at top 10 engineering college in India, CGPA: 8/10 2 industry internships No publications

Academic work is not as competitive as that of other applicants.

Bachelors degree in Molecular Biology. Two years work experience and extensive research in biology. No computer science classes, but some programming work experience.

Accepted on Feb 14, Offer with funding March 20. Very excited :D

Email to check decision letter. Reason for rejection: "Academic work is not as competitive as that of other applicants." then the letter ends by saying: "if in the future you believe that your accomplishments may be competitive, please do not hesitate to reapply". Unfortunately, I can not time travel to the past and change my academic work.

I have 5 publications, plus 3 papers in review. I have done five research-oriented internships in national labs and industry research centers. Did my undergrad in CS at a top-10 school. (This is just a safety school, of course.)
