MPH GPA: 3.77; 12 publications; 5 years of research experience. Actually struggled with fitting my interests to the program as the program is very US-centric and I want to focus my work in LMICs, so the decision is not very surprising. I just hate that I did not go with my gut and not apply (the application fee is a lot of money in my country).

Its a werid day for me, I just had an acceptance from UTA, and seconds later some dude mails me to say he can't take me into his group, though he promised me the opportunity as we had around 3 interview sessions. Crazy day, I guess getting a 4.0 and 3 Q1 journal publications in the same domain doesn't matter for STANFORD. FML I guess.
