Sent an email to the admissions office to ask about the results of my admission, and soon received an email to check the portal. Only rejection, no reason given. Very unpleasant application experience.

Canadian domestic applicant. Had email and zoom chats with potential POI prior to applying.

POI isn't taking students next year

Canadian (domestic) applicant. Accepted via email, unofficial offer with official offer to come in the next two weeks. ~$100K in funding over four years, before SSHRC. Combination of dept. scholarship, OGS, full TAship. Will be working with supervisor of choice. Currently hold a 3.9 GPA in MA also at Mac (will complete this summer prior to entry into PhD), 3.9 GPA in undergrad from Carleton University.

Canadian applicant. Received an email from POI.

Short email notifying me of results. Had my name and the name of the program to which I applied in the email so one of the nicer rejection letters I have received.

I'm the poster below as well, got official email rejection today after telling them to remove me from consideration a month ago. Hopefully the rest of you should hear soon! Good luck!

Personal message from POI. POI is undergraduate thesis advisor, current lab supervisor of volunteer position, and what I would call as close to a mentor as I could define. $15k CAD/year + TAship. He urged me to decline for another offer, I am heavy-heartedly going to take his advice.

Notified a day before I got the rejected email that they didn't receive my transcript even though the school sent it

Canadian. $2000 entry, full 4 year TAship, minimum $10,000 /year (if no other sources of funding acquired).

Canadian. Non-anthro background. Scholarship but no TAship.

Sent inquiry e-mail to graduate chair on status of application because I needed to inform other schools of my decisions. She told me (unofficially) that I had not been successful. Second time rejected, will not apply here again, something clearly missing from my apps.
