department did not update the portal for rejections, FYI to those who haven't heard back. had to email them and they informed me i'm rejected, thankfully got into my first choice.

I was notified a decision had been made through email. Then check the status on portal.

Master's GPA: 4.2/4.0 I am disappointed, to be honest. To anyone reading this and considering applying to McGill, please note that they operate on rolling admissions. I feel that I was a solid candidate and also had found a potential supervisor who really liked me, but, alas, I applied too late and was put into the second batch of potential candidates after all others had been given their offers. And so... Onwards.

I believe I do not have a good fit for the program, I study educational issues and couldn't find any faculty with the same background. My grades are 92%, I have 2 years of research experience, 1 semester of teaching assistantship, and 4 publications.

Email to check portal. Message saying program director will email with official letter and funding package. (GPA is masters)

Has anyone heard anything about when final decisions will be posted? I have emailed the department and I was told I was waitlisted. Just waiting on McGill to make my final decision between grad schools.

It was an implied rejection tho. 'At this precise moment, we have sent out or initial offer letters and need to hear back from them before we pursue admission for anyone else. So, in essence, you are on an extended waitlist. In general, we do not issue formal rejections until later in March and sometimes even into April because there can still be some movement. '

TPB: Yes, the department offered me $5k per year in grants and an optional TA/RA role with my POI for another $5k/yr. Need-based aid/bursaries from the university are still being evaluated

Email with pdf outlining offer, merit scholarship, and deadline by which to respond (2 weeks) followed by email from POI designated as supervisor!

Received an email this morning to check the portal, and it says my application was refused but for some reason when I click to view the refusal letter it wont pop up. This decision process took so long but atleast I know now I guess. Goodluck to everyone else!
