History, Cornell University I wonder how many applicants received this:
Your application was amongst the best we received...but I am sorry to inform you that we are unable to offer your admission.
And, this only makes it worse, having received five rejections already and no admittance anywhere with only one school left:
"...we are also confident that your very impressive qualifications will have gained for you a place in a first-rate graduate program."
Oh, and Cornell is my alma mater (undergraduate). Agh.

Statistics, Cornell University "Conditionally Accepted" -- this means waitlisted for funding. I asked the department about this, and they said that Cornell only has funding for about 4-5 PhD students each year, but there's a chance to get funding as other students ahead on the list choose other schools, etc.

Economics, Cornell University I posted this earlier as an acceptance when it was actually a rejection. I did this because, well I am a doofus, and thus why I did not get into Cornell. Sorry for the confusion.
