My GPA is a 3.83 in 9 prerequisite courses, 2nd BA, 1st degree was a 3.23; applied to the bilingual track

Communication Disorders / Speech-Language Pathology, Columbia University, Teachers College I got an email in March to check the website. GPA 3.3, GRE 1310, and I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Cambodia from 2007 - 2009... Considering my GPA, I think my experience/essay might've been a deciding factor, so if you have a relatively low GPA don't lose hope. :)

Speech Language Pathology/Communication Disorders, Columbia University, Teachers College I received that email that others did about hoping to get decisions out by the end of the month! I called last week and they said maybe in the next 7 days..but I still haven't heard. Those that have heard recently-did you receive the same email?? Accepted and rejected-mind sharing your stats?

School Psychology, Columbia University, Teachers College Rejected Post-interview. The interview went very well and I felt I was a good match for the program. Future applicants should note that the PhD program seems to select students from their masters program. They typically take 4 applicants each year out of 60-100 applications, of which 2 are usually from their masters program. Making the selection more competitive than it may seem. While I wish the process would have been faster and more personal, it's a great program. Good luck to future applicants. Here are my stats. GRE 1320 Quan (640) Verbal (680) AW (4.5) with a masters in Psychology. The only good thing to come out of this rejection is that I'll never have to check this site again. Its breed neuroticism.
