- Thank you for submitting your application to the MIT Sloan PhD Program. After careful consideration, the faculty have concluded that we are not able to offer you a seat in the incoming class. Admission to the MIT Sloan PhD Program is highly competitive, with a small number of PhD students entering each year. Our size offers advantages to both students and faculty, but it also creates an extremely difficult admissions process. In selecting so few from a relatively large and well-qualified group, we must necessarily turn away many strong applicants. Because of the high volume of applications we receive, it is not possible for our faculty or staff to offer feedback on your application. Thank you for your interest in the MIT Sloan PhD Program; we wish you success in your academic pursuits.
