- a little bit unexpected but nothing is impossible. stats given by the professor during the virtual tour suggested they take ~20 phds per year so i thought it's 90%+ confirmed and the interview is just a sanity check since the interview pool is ~ 20 people. judging by the stats here it seems like there's a 50% rejection rate out of those ~20 people. for future interviewees, you should def contact as many professor as possible
