- I had sent an email to the admission office to tell that I had to make a decision as soon as possible, therefore I need to learn my application status. Here is the response I have received: Mr. Kurt, Unfortunately due to the high volume of outstanding application received and the very limited admission allocation from our Graduate Division your application for admission to graduate study in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley has been denied.
