- Notes
- two first author papers (respected journals) in a new field, several conference papers, several non-provisional patents (two granted, others pending), founded two small hw startups (one successful), two internships, over three years research experience, two student leadership positions, two ta positions, and built a university course. Not a troll, just very busy. Strong recommenders, strong sop, and well-aligned research, but weak gpa from first two years, didn't bother with gre, and not from uc/ivy/ivy+. My gpa was probably the biggest factor by far. Stanford was my first of two choices, go big or go home. Applicant pool seems to have been rough this year, so congrats to everyone accepted!
