- I had a strong connection with two potential advisors and interviewed both of them. The funny thing is, if the GRE is optional, then why did you only accept applicants with the GRE? Does that make it an essential requirement? USA is not a great destination for PhD, especially around feminist studies, I rather try my chances in Scandinavian countries where the real freedom of speech is being practiced.
