- Email director to ask and was replied with rejection email. Better now or never! Dear Applicant, I am sorry to report that, after carefully reviewing all applications for graduate study in music at the University of Pittsburgh, we are not admitting you to the program. Decisions were difficult this year, as we received a large number of applications and the level of academic achievement was extremely high. At the same time, we are limited in the number we can accept. We are grateful for your interest in our program and wish you the best of luck in your graduate studies.
