- Notes
- Holding a Master's degree in computational biology with a 4.0 GPA from a top 10 university and having two years of undergraduate research plus 2.5 years in graduate school. I have four publications: two as co-first author and two as second author, all with impact factors greater than 10. Additionally, I have a first-author paper under review at Cell. As a permanent resident of the US, I also see a rejection faced by another applicant who had an NIH fellowship. This makes me question the criteria for interview selection for this program. It's ridiculous; who gets the interview? Only the in-state applicants?
