Whole experience was so bizarre... applied priority and they waived my application fee without telling me which was nice. Then they completely ghosted me, so I (politely) emailed twice asking for updates. The first time I got a very rude response back (where they couldn't even spell out complete words... wrote please as "pls" etc), the second time was ghosted. Then I got an official rejection today days AFTER the decision deadline has already passed... the whole process was just so unbelievably unprofessional and left a bad taste in both mine and all of my current professors' mouths. I ended up getting into a much better program so alls well that ends well for me, but I would highly discourage future applicants from applying... if this is how they treat their applicants, I doubt their PhD students are prioritized by the department. In any case, this whole process was not worth the headache. Thank god they waived my fee, at least I didn't lose any money on this :/
