- I was wondering if anyone else got this email and if they've heard anything since then: "I am writing to inform you that we have made our initial round of admissions decisions for admission starting Autumn 2023. While your application is very strong, we cannot offer you admission into The Ohio State University Physics Graduate Program at this time. However, we would like to keep you (and a small number of other highly qualified applicants) on our Waiting List. We had many applications for just a few positions this year, and could not offer admission to all highly qualified students during our first round of offers. In mid-April, just before the April 15th deadline, we will be able to better determine if we are able to make additional offers for this year. Please let us know if you would like to remain on our waiting list or if you have any other questions. I wish you the best in your future graduate studies."
