- Major (MES) gpa 3.96, 0a0w2r1p, I am not sure if this is the right path anymore. In shock, but I get it that a lot of applicants are highly qualified. Many had a MA degree in the Middle East already, I think I will be applying to schools in the Middle East now. rn 4th year MES major, a couple grants, one departmental award, provided a writing sample that engages historical primary sources in one middle eastern language. Non-native speaker, studying in one of the UCs. Two year arabic, three year ish Persian.
