Stats: 4.0 MS GPA, 2.9 undergrad GPA, 2 publications (1 first author), 2 publications in preparation (another first author), several poster presentations and talks at conferences (+ best talk award at an international conference), 1 year teaching experience, a few research awards, and assorted STEM outreach. Very disappointed by the rejection (IGP was my first choice), I thought I would at least have been competitive for an interview.
