- I am not going to accept this offer. So I emailed the department if the program has been designated as a STEM, and was told that it was not and will not in the near future. With so many other programs in AgEcon have been designated as a STEM discipline, I don't think international students in this major at Purdue will be lucky to have work-visa sponsorships after a 12-month OPT expires. Whether it is in academia or industry, I definitely want a STEM degree instead of a non-Stem one. Plz do some hw and find the one that best serves your career goals in the U.S..
