- Called for an interview and thesis presentation. Results will be informed before the end of March. The fact of the matter is wherever I have applied in Europe, I am atleast getting interview calls and ranked top 3 for any position but for US universities I am getting rejections from much lower ranked universities compared to the European ones. Very very depressing considering I have Master's degree in Theoretical Particle Physics and experience in 4 research projects in Particle Physics. Except a publication which I will soon have I tick all the boxes to have a very strong CV. I am finding very difficult to understand what the US universities want this year.
