- Domestic student, had personal connection with a potential supervisor, 3.89 GPA, strong teaching and research experience and strong references. I was so surprised to be rejected but I was. I hadn't upload an optional personal essay because I was super busy with work, not sure if it was related to that but don't take the chance and write it (it was for of you are a personal of color which I am or if you have other life experiences)
