- OP-My background is in signal processing, but I applied to the Communication Networks track, the prof. in question was in both groups. 4 of my friends have been admitted already, (I guess most of them in the networks track) so basically in the words of Mel Brooks, "Hope for the best/ Expect the worst!" ;) best of luck
