- High GPA in both undergrad (4.0) and post-bacc CSUSM program (3.9). First undergrad was in education, worked in a high school and then corporate setting. Had four recommendation letters (didn't have access to them, but feel confident/had a good relationship with all professors), participated in every class, emailed professors outside of class for additional clarification. Did not have research experience or in the field experience but was hopeful my grades, recommendations, and enthusiasm would've made up for that. They did not. I was not asked to interview and I'm not sure if that was asked of everyone or just some they were wanting to speak with more.
