- International student studying at a Liberal Arts College: it was a bit of long shot since I don't have experience in Applied Mathematics (applying from a Physics background). Best of luck to everyone else! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------Rejection letter below--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for sending your application for admission. The University has given it careful consideration and, I am sorry to tell you that they have decided that they are not able to offer you a place. The University receives thousands of applications, all from very able prospective postgraduate students, and the competition for the limited number of places is intense. This means that we are not able to offer admission to many good candidates. If you wish to be considered for admission in a later year, you will have to make a new application, using new materials. We are sorry to bring you this disappointing news, but wish you every success in your future endeavours. Postgraduate Admissions Office University of Cambridge
