- Email to check application status on their website. Their website is one of the most clunky and misleading websites ever! I was rejected, but on the front page, it said "We have received your graduate application for admission. We are pleased that you are interested in attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst. You can review the status of your application and the receipt of your supporting admissions materials to the Graduate School at UMass by clicking the Check Status of Application Materials link to the right of this page." Typically schools only use the words "We are pleased" if they want you, but after reading that and having a mini heart attack, I checked the status and was denied. The website is soooo clunky and outdated, my goodness. Clicking multiple times and it was like 1990's style. Maybe this is a sign that this program isn't the best.
