Undergrad gpa: 8.58/10, 3 first author papers, 4 published in total (2 under review), 4+ years of research experience after undergrad, 4 undergrad research projects, strong SOP, had amazing connection with PI. But received a mail saying extreme competition and lack of enough funds. Very very disheartened but good luck to ones who got accepted.
