- Dear xxx, Thank you very much for your application to the Economics PhD Program at the University of Michigan. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you a place in our program. The competition for places in our program is always intense, and this year was no exception. The number of applications we receive is many multiples of the number of places we have available in our Ph.D. program. We unfortunately have to pass on many highly qualified applicants, like yourself. We wish you the best of luck with your future academic and professional endeavors. If you have any questions about the decision, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Hiba Baghdadi PhD Program Coordinator
