- Assuming rejection. I've been working with my POI for a year now in the neuro department on my current Master's research (I'm at a different university in the US, POI is a tenured professor and part of neuro dept faculty). My application wasn't even sent to POI from admissions. Both POI and I have asked admissions and the department multiple times for a reason or update.... neither of us have gotten a response. Don't know why. I have great stats and won university award for my undergrad research. Maybe because I haven't been published yet?
