- First rejection, but at least I heard back early. I went to Berkeley for undergrad and Caltech for MS, but it's good to know I don't have the results desired to be a super-competitive PhD applicant. I do regret not applying to multiple MIT PhD programs, like some other people I know had. Have 2 second-author papers (1 conference, 1 journal), submitted a second-author paper to 1 conference and 1 journal, and had a 1st author paper underway that was severely delayed due to many recent deaths in my research partner's family, along with my partner catching COVID themselves.
