- Same as the below poster. I'm not made cause UNC does this every year but it's a very confusing strategy to me... wouldn't filling out your cohort in May with candidates who either 1) got no other offers or 2) had offers much worse than UNC lead to a weak cohort? What's the advantage of this over doing what every other school does and making offers and trying to persuade strong candidates to accept?
