- The iit guy. I am sorry guys. I didn't mean to offend anyone. But some guys do have a problem with money while applying to universities so they carefully vet them. I considered it safe after consulting with many people. So I was a bit frustrated. Also, universities in every country are ranked. Even in Canada. Don't they? Computer Skills? Dude, I did work hard on skills. Under 100 rank in gate in both maths and CS. Cleared coding round of every company in placement including google and Microsoft. My department followed an absolute marking system. They didn't grade on a curve. Also, why can't I write iit when I mention my profile? Should I be ashamed that I studied day and night for two years to get into it? Extracurricular I mentioned only because a lot of people have said including a couple of professors who interviewed me that extracurricular awards strengthen the profile. I didn't mention the plethora of ML projects done in colg since every applicant have them I guess. So guys mind your language and try to help each other rather than take your frustration out on anyone. Have a good day. I hope the guy who called me a loser gets into his dream college. Good luck :-) So it was absolutely not a rant. It was just frustration on my part and my contribution to this forum that this year it's tough.
