- I applied for the Mathematics of Random Systems CDT and mentioned in my application letter that I am interested in mathematical modelling in biology. I never even applied for interdisciplinary bioscience PhD, I just received a rejection email out of the blue. After emailing them back and asking why they are rejecting me from the program that I didn't even apply to, I was told that my application was referred to them from the Random Systems CDT as the Random Systems CDT administrator thought that my application might be of interest to them. Clearly not interesting enough.
