- I contacted admissions regarding the application process and such they said that this application was extremely competitive, even if applicants met or exceeded their requirements. I guess rejection is part of life, however, still unclear how admissions folks make their decisions as extremely high GPA and test scores do not necessarily make a great PhD candidate. Oh well if I do not get in this year with other programs there is always next application cycle!
