- I got so angry that I have to share my experience. I applied to the SM Operations Research program originally and I got invited to an interview at the end of January for the MBAn program. I did the interview back on Feb 1st (I also believe I did a great job for the interview). On Feb. 25th, I received an offer from the OR program. The result of MBAn program is supposed to come out on Mar. 4th (the following week). Since OR did not provide me any financial support, I decided to wait for the MBAn program. On Mar. 4th, I did not received and notification of the result (including the portal they created for me, it simply showed: decided). The next day, I sent an email to my interviewer and she never replied. I sent another email on Mar. 8th for MBAn admission team and they never replied. March. 10th I sent an email to the MIT Sloan admission and a person replied me: Thank you for your note. Unfortunately we were not able to move you forward in the MBAn applicant pool and you are no longer being considered for the program. Since you did not directly apply to MBAn you will not receive a formal decision letter. I cannot follow this logic. They invited me to apply for their program. Because I did not submit the $150 application fee, I do not deserve a result. Especially the person emphasized "formal" decision letter, which almost sounds like I received any forms of decision... I even emailed them to give them a legitimate chance to slap my face, how stupid I am...
