- In case anyone is waiting on Harvard or is waiting for closure: Harvard typically admits from their own pool. By this, I mean that they usually extend invitations of interviews to students they have worked with in the past, students of professors in their department, students at Harvard, etc. This is especially common for two PIs at Harvard. So if you didnt get an interview don't be disappointed, it happens all the time. I worked at MGH and had friends in labs at Harvard so I've heard about this for years, not believing it, until I saw it happen myself last cycle.
